Return Window

groceryguild accepts returns within 30 days of the delivery date. All returned non-perishable items must be unused, unopened, and in their original resalable condition, with all original product tags (where applicable) attached and original packaging fully intact. Perishable food items (including fresh produce, meat, poultry, seafood, dairy, prepared meals, and baked goods) are only eligible for return if they arrive visibly spoiled, damaged beyond edibility, or past their expiration date upon delivery.

Non-returnable items:

  • Final sale items (clearly marked as final sale at checkout)
  • Opened, used, or consumed perishable food items (unless spoiled due to shipping or handling error by groceryguild)
  • Opened or partially used consumable goods (including snacks, beverages, pantry staples, personal care, and household products)
  • Intimate apparel, swimwear, and undergarments
  • Digital download codes, e-gifts, and physical gift cards
  • Items damaged due to customer misuse, improper storage, or failure to follow product handling instructions
  • Items returned after the 30-day return window without prior written approval from groceryguild support

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Email our support team at [email protected] with your full order number, the specific item(s) you wish to return, and a brief reason for the return. For perishable item returns related to spoilage or damage, please attach clear photos of the affected items and their packaging with your initial request.
  2. Our team will review your request and issue a valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number to you within one business day, along with return shipping instructions if applicable.
  3. Securely pack the item(s) you are returning to prevent damage in transit, and write the provided RMA number clearly and legibly on the outside of the shipping package. Do not write directly on original product packaging.
  4. Ship the package to the return address provided in your RMA confirmation email using a trackable shipping method.

Returns submitted without a valid, active RMA number may be refused upon receipt, or experience significant processing delays. groceryguild is not responsible for lost or stolen return packages sent without a valid RMA.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds for non-perishable items are processed to your original payment method within 3–5 business days of groceryguild receiving and inspecting the returned item. Refunds for approved perishable item claims (with valid photo proof provided upfront) are processed within 1–2 business days of claim approval. Please allow an additional 5–10 business days for the refunded amount to appear on your bank or card statement, depending on your financial institution’s processing times. Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on our part (such as sending an incorrect or damaged item). All refunds are issued directly by groceryguild to the original payment method used at checkout; store credit will only be issued if explicitly requested by the customer at the time of return.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, contains incorrect items, or includes spoiled perishable goods, contact us within 7 days of delivery (or within 48 hours of delivery for perishable items) with clear photos of the issue, your order number, and details of the problem. We will arrange for a replacement of the correct item or issue a full refund at no additional cost to you, including covering all return shipping fees associated with the return of the affected item.

For spoiled perishable items, please dispose of the affected goods if they are unsafe to consume, and retain photos of the spoiled items and their original packaging to submit with your claim.

Return Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for all standard return shipping costs for non-perishable returns, unless the item being returned is defective, damaged in transit, or the issue is due to an error made by groceryguild. A prepaid return shipping label is available for a $7.95 deduction from your total refund amount for standard non-perishable returns. For all returns due to groceryguild error (incorrect items, shipping damage, spoiled perishables on arrival), we cover 100% of return shipping costs with no deductions from your refund.
